Grand Knight’s welcome

Greetings!

My name is Tim Riley, the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus St. Rose of Lima Council 10870. Welcome to our website! Here, you can learn more about the Knights of Columbus, our Council 10870, and our activities. I am proud of what we have accomplished and excited for the year to come.

Our goals have been and will always be based on the basic principles of our Order; Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. Through these principles, we draw our parish activities from which we promote such principles. Our mandate for this Columbian year is to build a domestic church through closer coordination and support to the existing parish projects/activities, specifically the Youth and Family activities. We will support these faith based parish activities and will always be the strong arm of our parish.

If you are a Catholic gentleman but not yet a Knight, I invite you to join us to be the strong voice in support of the church, the family, life issues, vocations and Catholic education. Membership is open to men 18 years and over who are practical Catholics as defined by the Church.

For those of you who are already Knights, I call on you to get more involved in this year’s Columbian council activities. Our Surge Programs; Church, Family, Youth, Culture of Life, Council and Community, require more volunteers to accomplish the activities of each of the Surge programs. Getting involved in such charitable activities not only help members of our parish community, but more importantly create changes in ourselves; a sense of accomplishment and stronger faith to God and church. The more we give ourselves to others, the stronger our Christian faith in God, church and our parish community will be.
